Congo African Grey Parrot
Raising Congo African Greys requires an understanding of their development, social needs and individual personalities. These parrots originate from African tropical forests, where they naturally nest inside cavities in mature trees. Breeding pairs generally form strong associations, with both parents participating in raising their young. The species usually lays two to three eggs, and chicks remain dependent on parental care during their early development. Adult Congo Greys are recognizable by their silver-grey bodies, black bills and bright red tail feathers.
Young birds have darker eyes, which gradually change as they mature. From a breeder’s perspective, early socialization and proper development are particularly important. A young parrot should be allowed to develop naturally and receive appropriate nutrition and veterinary attention. These birds are not simply talking pets; they are intelligent animals that require years of responsible care.
